In The Spotlight: CLEAN Handmade Whipped Coconut Oil Conditioner

A Treat For Your Thirsty Tresses

The ever-changing UK weather conditions play havoc with your hair making it dry and brittle. To keep my hair protected, hydrated and moisturised, I use CLEAN Handmade Cosmetics Whipped Coconut Oil Conditioner. The CLEAN range of products are all handmade with 100% natural ingredients and contain no nasties, parabens or sulphates.

One of the greatest uses of coconut oil is for your hair as it can intensely moisturise and condition, it stimulates faster growth, is a fantastic detangler, and is great for combating dandruff.  I used to have a real problem with dry flaky scalp and this has been mitigated since using coconut oil as a conditioner.

Coconut oil is also one of the best natural nutrients for hair. It’s strand-strengthening while providing intense shine. This wonderful conditioner by CLEAN also contains grapefruit essential oil. Grapefruit is a nutritious citrus fruit that is anti-oxidant rich and contains many medicinal benefits. Its citrusy scent instantly uplifts the body and mind and revitalises the hair and skin.

This conditioner smells wonderful and the scent alone will transport you to the tropics. The invigorating grapefruit essential oil gives hair a FABB lustrous shine and coconut oil, vitamin E and olive oil conditions hair leaving it soft and nourished. I've been using it for the past few months and the grapefruit essential oil stimulates my mind and lifts my mood too.

I use it as a conditioner and a hot oil treatment and although I have 4c hair I can confirm that a little goes a loooong way. I made the mistake of applying a liberal amount and not only was it a waste, it was very oily as the coconut oil content is very concentrated.

Take a small amount and rub between the palms of your hands to melt down. Massage into your hair starting at the ends and then the roots. Comb through for even distribution. Then put on a plastic shower cap and leave on for 10 -15 mins or if using a hot oil treatment, go under the steamer for 30-45 minutes. Then rinse, wash and condition as normal. The result is soft manageable glossy hair, no frizz and a calm soothed scalp. I love it!

So for a glossy sheen, conditioned hair and an energised mind in a jar get your CLEAN Whipped  Coconut Oil Conditioner here
